Tool Sphere is a free, browser-based platform of PDF, image, video, study, and AI-powered tools — built for people who need work done quickly, without installing software or paying for it.
Tool Sphere started with a simple frustration: too many everyday tasks — merging a PDF, compressing a photo, trimming a video clip, removing a background, checking your CGPA — required either installing bulky desktop software, digging through a cluttered app store, or handing your files to an ad-covered website you didn't trust.
We built Tool Sphere to be the opposite of that. Every tool runs directly in your browser, works on any device with an internet connection, and does exactly one job well — no account required for most tools, no software to install, and no hidden catches buried in a terms page nobody reads.
We're a small, independently run platform. That means we can move quickly, fix things fast when something breaks, and build tools based on what people actually ask for rather than what a committee decides is worth shipping this quarter.
As of this writing, Tool Sphere organizes its tools into five categories. PDF Tools covers merging multiple PDFs into one file and splitting a PDF into separate pages or extracted ranges — both support password-protected files. Image Tools covers compressing images down to a target size without visibly losing quality, and converting between formats like JPEG, PNG, WebP, and AVIF.
Video Tools includes a stream analyzer that inspects any video URL for technical details (headers, CDN, manifest data, DRM status) and a video trimmer for cutting, cropping, and trimming clips. Study Tools includes a gaze-activated answer review tool that uses your webcam locally to help you self-check answers hands-free, plus a percentage and CGPA calculator built for Indian grading conventions.
AI Tools currently includes an AI-powered background remover and an AI image upscaler. We're actively building more tools across every category — if there's something you wish existed, tell us on our Contact page.
Most of our tools process your file entirely inside your browser using JavaScript running on your own device — in those cases, your file never leaves your computer or phone at all. Nothing is uploaded, nothing touches our servers.
Tools that need heavier processing — like merging large PDFs, compressing high-resolution images, or trimming video — upload your file to our server just long enough to run the operation, then delete it immediately once the result is sent back to you. There's no manual review queue, no human looking at your files, and no retention window "just in case."
A small number of tools depend on infrastructure we don't run ourselves. Our AI Image Upscaler, for example, currently routes processing through an external third-party service rather than our own servers. Wherever a tool works this way, we say so plainly on that tool's own page — we'd rather over-disclose than have you find out later.
Every tool on Tool Sphere works without creating an account. Some tools have daily usage limits to keep the service sustainable for everyone; creating a free account raises those limits, and Tool Sphere Premium (an optional paid upgrade) removes them entirely and adds priority processing plus early access to new tools as we build them.
We intentionally keep the free tier genuinely useful rather than crippled — Premium exists for people who use the tools heavily or professionally, not as a way to lock basic functionality behind a paywall.
Alongside the tools themselves, we publish practical guides, how-tos, and explainers — mostly focused on getting more out of the tools we build, digital productivity, file formats, and useful tech knowledge for students and everyday users.
We know that using a free online tool to process a personal document, photo, or video means trusting a stranger's server for a few seconds. We take that seriously: our privacy practices around uploaded files, third-party dependencies, and account data are laid out in full on our Privacy Policy — not buried in legal language, but written to actually be read.
Found a bug, have a tool idea, spotted something inaccurate in an article, or just want to say the Answer Review Tool saved your exam? We read everything that comes through our Contact page, and we genuinely use that feedback to decide what to build next.
